Anise Seed Oil 1/2 fl. oz.
Anise (Pimpinella anisum) is a flowering plant native to the eastern Mediterranean region and southwest Asia. All above-ground parts of the young Anise plant are also eaten as a vegetable. The stems resemble those of celery in texture and are much milder in flavor than the fruits. The seed-like fruit of the plant is used in candy making and sweet baking as well as in Anise-flavored liqueurs such as raký, arak and ouzo. Anise Seed Oil is obtained by steam distillation of the dried and minutely crushed seeds. Anise Seed Oil is a natural aid for digestion and may also help to support the natural functioning of a healthy immune system.
