Dr. Farahmand

Salar Farahmand, LAc., O.M.D., Ph.D., D.Hom

Dr. Salar Farahmand has over thirty years experience in both traditional western and alternative medicine. Redefining optimal health and well being to higher standards, Dr. Farahmand is a pioneer in energy medicine, homeopathy, and magnetic therapy on acupuncture points. He developed a revolutionary treatment for head trauma, digestive disorder, pain management. As a pediatrician for the first sixteen years of his practice, Dr. Farahmand specializes not only in the prevention and treatment of dysfunction and disease in children, but the maintenance of optimal health as a primary mandate for children and adults alike. Dr. Farahmand received his M.D., Doctor of Medicine in 1965, becoming Head of the Department of Preventive Medicine in Northern Iran. In 1971, he received his certification in Pediatric Medicine, establishing a private pediatric practice and maintaining his hospital affiliations. In 1985, he continued his professional activities in the United States earning a N.C.C.A., National Diploma of Acupuncture, and L.Ac., License of Acupuncture, followed by an O.M.D., Doctorate in Oriental Medicine in 1989 and a Ph.D. in Disorders Caused by Electromagnetic Changes in the Environment in 1990. In 1992, he resumed his professional training in Orthopedics, Neurology and Disability Evaluations, receiving a D.N.B.A.O. Diplomat from the National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics, a C.I.D.E., Certified Industrial Disability Evaluator, and Q.M.E., Qualified Medical Evaluator, Department of Industrial Relations, from the Industrial Medical Council. In 1993, he was awarded by The American Academy of Neurological and Orthopedic Surgeons an FAANaOS Board Certification, followed by his Certification as an N.M.D., Naturopathic Physician, from the American Naturopathic Medical Association, his Diploma from the Homeopathic Medical Association as a D.HOM, Doctor of Homeopathy, and his H.M.D., Homeopathic Medical Doctor in 1994 recognized by the United Kingdom Homeopathic Medical Association (UK). In addition, Dr. Farahmand has contributed numerous medical articles to journals, magazines and newspapers. He has been the guest speaker on various radio and TV stations, has been featured on numerous television programs and has conducted many seminars on Magnet Therapy, Oriental Medicine and Homeopathic Medicine, including pain management with minerals and trace elements, digestive disorders, asthma, allergy, brain trauma revolutionary treatments. Dr. Farahmand lectures extensively. He has also authored a number of books including: Energy Therapy, A New Chapter in The World of Medicine; A Bridge Between Oriental and Western Medicine, 1990 and Energy Medicine, The Action of Homeopathic Remedies in The Human Body, 1994. His articles have included, "Magnet Therapy," "The Relation Between Minerals and the Body's Magnetic Field," "Controlling Mild Traumatic Injury" and "Secondary Symptoms of Brain Concussion." On October 5, 1990, Dr. Farahmand was awarded the distinguished Recognition for Research and Seminars from the World Research Foundation.
