Compare Version 1 with Version 2 :
The only difference is that version 1 spends less water. Both the version 1 and 2 now includes four Specially Made Automatic Valves that are designed to operate 24 hours, two Normally Open Automatic (Solenoid) Valves (that remain open in case of power outage) and two Normally Closed ones (remain closed in case of power outage).
Version 2 includes a Computerized Main Control Valve, allowing for you to set the exact backwash time needed. Dr. Clark recommends a 10-minute backwash every 5 days for an average family. This reduces water consumption per backwash to 64 gallons (10 minutes plus 6 minutes rinse cycle equals 16 minutes total x 4 GPM). Version 1 consumes 120 gallons of water (30 minutes x 4 GPM) per backwash and is not adjustable to consume less.

Why Whole House Filter?
Placement of the Activated Charcoal Whole House Filter is at your main water intake. The Whole House Filter filters every drop of water entering the house, providing clean water to kitchen sinks, bathroom sinks, shower, dishwasher, and washing machine.
Purity:
Specially processed and pre-hot-washed Activated Carbon from Coconut Shells is used as filter medium.
Backwash:
Since the filter does not contain tightly packed filter media, it backwashes effectively, washing out impurities.
Why Activated Charcoal?
Dr. Clark has found that Activated Charcoal is the best product for eliminating polluted chlorine in your water supply. Activated Charcoal is charcoal that has been treated with oxygen to open up millions of tiny pores between the carbon atoms. The use of special manufacturing techniques results in highly porous charcoals that have surface areas of 300-2000 square meters per gram. Activated Charcoals are widely used to adsorb odorous or colored substances from gases or liquids. The huge surface area of Activated Charcoal gives it countless bonding sites. When certain chemicals pass next to the carbon surface, they attach to the surface and are trapped. Also, Activated Charcoal removes some substances by catalytic reaction (chlorine, for example).
We have carefully selected from many sources the highest quality Activated Coconut Charcoal (Carbon) available on the market. We pre-treat it with hot water (according to Dr. Clark's protocols) so you can start using your Whole House Filter immediately—without an initial hot-water backwash.
Why Loose Carbon Media?
Solid carbon media is subject to “channeling.” Channeling refers to water passing through least resistant path of the carbon pores, thus reducing contact time with carbon. The result? Your water can pass right through the solid carbon media on these “familiar, friendly pathways” with only a minimum of filtering!Loose Carbon Media, on the other hand, can be periodically repositioned by means of a hot-water backwash. This means that your water will not be able to establish those familiar, friendly pathways that enable it to pass through your system virtually unfiltered. With periodic hot-water backwashes, your Whole House Filter will always perform at an optimum level to provide you and your family with clean, fresh tasting water.
Organic and Volatile Organic Chemical Contaminants Removed:
NOTE: Self Health Resource Center (DrClarkStore) can only cite research that is based on accepted government science when selling products. Dr. Clark may find that the filter filters out additional contaminants, however we cannot talk about this discovery if it is not collaborated by studies accepted by US Government. We guarantee that we have built the filter based on Dr. Hulda Clark’s protocols.
Below is a partial list of contaminants the Activated Charcoal Whole House Filter helps remove from ordinary tap water. For a more complete indicator ask us for a White Paper on The Ability of Activated Carbon to Remove Various Substances From Water (PDF link) Acetone, alcohol, benzenes, butyl acetate, chlorine, chlorobenzene, defoliants, dyes, ethyl acetate, ethyl chloride, formaldehyde, gasoline, glycol, herbicides, insecticides, isopropyl alcohol, ketones, methyl acetate, naptha (coal tar), nitrotoluene, oxalic acid, phenol, potassium permanganate, propionaldehyde, sodium hypochlorite, solvents, tar emulsion, trichlorethylene, turpentine, urine, xylene.
Please note that carbon is not effective in removing the following contaminants
Bacteria, lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury, mineral salts, iron, dirt.NOTE: Should you want to filter well water you are advised to install a UV sterilization system.
* The average family of four consumes 6300 gallons of water per month for indoor use
