Quercetin is a flavonoid found in many fruits, vegetables, and nuts. The naturally occurring compound has many health benefits including antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, as well as anti-allergic and cardioprotective effects. The challenge to taking advantage of quercetin’s benefits, however, is overcoming its poor absorption.*
The type of quercetin plays a big role in how well it’s absorbed and used in the body. The forms isoquercetin and isoquercitrin have shown enhanced bioavailability over quercetin dihydrate, a standard form in supplements. To make our Allergy Formula the most effective, we’ve sought out the very best quercetin - enzymatically modified isoquercitrin (EMIQ), a form of alpha-glycoside isoquercitrin with significantly better bioavailability than other forms of quercetin.*
To further enhance our solution for seasonal allergies, we added other nutraceuticals that complement EMIQ:
Vitamin C - An antioxidant in its own right, vitamin C also boosts the action of flavonoids like quercetin.*
Stinging Nettle - Nettles are a go-to herb for allergies due to their antihistamine and anti-inflammatory properties.*
Bromelain - This enzyme targets the inflammatory response and further elevates the absorption of quercetin.*
N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC) - When allergies leave you coughing, wheezing, and mucus prone, NAC helps to reduce the respiratory distress. NAC is particularly good for thinning mucus so it can be cleared from the airways.*
