Magnesium chloride flakes are a great addition to a warm bath. Magnesium is known for its ability to soothe sore muscles and joints and promote relaxation. Or for a simpler soak, add magnesium flakes to a foot bath to soften and hydrate rough skin.*
Soaking in magnesium means quicker absorption over traditional magnesium supplements. As you soak in a solution of warm water (about 102 degrees F) and magnesium chloride, the warm water opens the pores of the skin. Absorption through the skin allows the magnesium and trace minerals to go straight to the bloodstream. This process is much quicker than taking oral magnesium supplements that have to travel through the digestive tract before absorption takes place.

A: These magnesium bath flakes are from magnesium chloride whereas Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate. According to the National Institute of Health, magnesium chloride contains about 12% absorbable magnesium, and magnesium sulfate contains only about 10% absorbable magnesium.
Q: Is it possible to absorb too much magnesium?
A: When soaking in bath with magnesium chloride, you will only absorb about 12% of the available magnesium. Although magnesium toxicity from magnesium fortified baths is rare, regulate the frequency and types of baths (full body or foot) if you’re concerned about getting too much magnesium.
Q: Where are your magnesium chloride flakes sourced from?
A: They are sourced from the mineral rich Dead Sea between Israel and Jordan.
Q: Is it safe to ingest magnesium chloride flakes?

100% Magnesium Chloride Flakes
For a bath, add 3-4 cups of bath flakes to a tub of warm water (about 102°F or 39°C). Soak for 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse and pat skin dry. Optional: To encourage the release of more toxins, dry brush your skin before your bath. For a foot bath, add 1-2 cups of bath flakes to a foot basin of warm water (about 102°F or 39°C). Soak for 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse and pat skin dry.
For best results, soak in warm rather than hot water. Warm water encourages better magnesium absorption.
For external use inly. Avoid contact with eyes, freshly shaven skin, open wounds or broken skin. If irritation, redness or discomfort occurs, discontinue use and consult with a physician.
