I was diagnosed with orthostatic hypotension last year. This year many times both systolic and diastolic pressures are low and heart beat often low. Cardiac workup showed no problem and was dismissed by cardiologist. Believe the hypotension is neurological as a result of chronic Lyme. In July my mild, stable glaucoma of 20 years suddenly increased. My optic nerve pressure in both eyes increased . My right eye progressed to moderate and in the left to moderate toward severe. The choice of eye drops to change to is very limited because of the hypotension and side affects. My doctor says my only options may be to use Dorzolamide which produces side effects. And although it lowered my optic pressure it has not been enough. The only other alternative is laser surgery which I understand would need to be repeated periodically. Has anyone had any experience with this?
