The Problem with the NIH and How We can Fix It

Naturopaths should be part of healthcare…instead they are shut out of the insurance system and Medicaid because they don’t dispense drugs. Is the NIH is a thoroughly corrupt institution that needs to be torn down brick by brick?
For decades, the NIH has served as nothing more than the R&D department for Big Pharma, using taxpayer money to feed these soulless corporations while the American people suffer. Too many families have been abandoned, led away from nutritious foods and supplements that can actually CURE their health issues, and prevent cancers - but they are also led to believe that their only chance for survival is to take patented drugs so expensive it leads them to file bankruptcy!
People are bankrupted by cancer treatments, and have been crushed by the loss of their children to mental health issues and more. How about researching the effects of reinstating iodide supplementation and researching nutritional benefits of zinc, selenium, vitamins C and Bs, and more? Currently, NIH research focuses almost exclusively on patented drugs that arise because of the absence of nutrition in our diets. In general, Big Pharma has caused the research community to set-up research that gives a negative picture of nutrition research. This has to change. What current research on natural compounds does the NIH conduct?
Natural Supplement Research by the NCCIH
A few large scale clinical trials have been conducted by the NCCIH on natural therapies. For example, the AREDS trials evaluated how well nutritional supplements worked for macular degeneration. They found that a supplement containing vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc and beta carotene was effective. Unfortunately, many of these supplements contain harmful additives, or even harmful, synthetic forms of the vitamins, like Vitamin E in the form of dl-alpha tocopherol (as opposed to d-alpha tocopherol that natural form). Another trial on EDTA also found large, positive results where, “participants with diabetes there was an impressive 41 percent reduction in the risk of any cardiovascular event; a 52 percent reduction in recurrent heart attacks; and a 43 percent reduction in death from any cause.” (NCCIH, 2025). This trial was repeated in a larger follow-up, called TACT2, and there is a TACT2 phase 3 clinical trial that will be released. All in all, these studies have cost around $50 million in funding, and have still to complete the last clinical trial. Also, EDTA is not technically a natural substance, and is a synthetic chemical. It nevertheless might be the best chelator, but why wouldn’t it be studied alongside other synthetics, or even natural chelators in the name of complimentary medicine?
And what has NIH ever done with this information for improving health? Has it issued public statements, or sought more research funding for these non-toxic compounds? Nope! They’ve lined the pockets of pharmaceutical executives. Leaving families bankrupt from their greed. Enough is enough! NIH must be dismantled and rebuilt entirely, and its leadership exposed for their decades-long collusion with the pharmaceutical monopolists.
Recently, indirect funding was cut, but this does not go far enough. Elon Musk—tasked to address government spending—called out the high percentage of indirect costs that the NIH had been supporting. “Can you believe that universities with tens of billions in endowments were siphoning off 60% of research award money for “overhead?” he wrote on X.

Our Suggestions
We demand an immediate and comprehensive investigation into the relationships between NIH leadership, Dr. Fauci, and the pharmaceutical industry. Let’s follow the money, expose every shadowy deal, and lay bare just how deep this treachery goes. Show us every dollar that NIH handed to Big Pharma, every favor, every policy built to pump out profits for these vultures while the rest of us go bankrupt trying to survive. These partnerships are nothing but criminal conspiracies to screw the American public while laughing all the way to the bank. It’s time we treat them as such. How to get started?
1). Create a New Agency: the National Institute of Nutrition
Instead of funding the pill mill that has destroyed lives, we demand the creation of a National Institute of Nutrition (NIN), with a mandated $500 billion ANNUAL budget. The Big Pharma companies should be taxed for this amount every year. Yes, Big Pharma tax $500 billion per year and make it illegal or a moral principle to boycott all pharma lobbyists. Yes, you heard me—$500 billion every single year paid by Big Pharma, invested in nutrition-based research, prevention, and REAL health solutions for families. Not a single cent should go towards any new drugs, the cost of which can be paid by the pharmaceutical manufacturers themselves, not the public. New drugs are just new ways to rob us. The new NIN must work on ending America’s drug dependency entirely by investing in food, holistic health, and preventative care. Big Pharma and its reliance on medication have failed us, and if we are serious about saving lives, we need to move in the complete opposite direction of what NIH has stood for.
Big Pharma must PAY for what they’ve done. We should demand that they foot the bill to run our new department, National Institute of Nutrition (NIN)
2). Create an Investigative Commission
Further we need a task force, call it “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” to uncover the profiteering, extortion, and outright theft Big Pharma has committed in collusion with NIH. These companies and their executives have made billions while we’ve gone broke, buried our children, and been pushed to the brink. It’s time to take back what’s ours. That money should pay for nutritional research, preventative healthcare, and public health infrastructure that actually makes a difference.
3). Seek Criminal Prosecution of Companies and Individual

And this is not enough. We need a criminal justice task force that can specifically go after pharmaceutical executives—starting with the CEOs. These people need to face the punishment fitting for their crimes. Any CEO or executive tied to this corrupt system who has knowingly profited while millions suffered and died must be prosecuted, and ostracized from society, preferentially banning them from participating in this field ever again – like how lawyers can be disbarred. Their greed and corruption have caused unthinkable, incalculable harm, and it’s time for justice to be served. It’s time we move beyond words and phony “investigations” and into real action. Dismantle the NIH, expose the corruption, punish the guilty, and rebuild a system that puts lives before profits.
Summary:
NIH has been focused on providing profitable drugs for free to the pharmaceutical industry. The system is not at all focused on improving people’s health. It’s 100% focused on maximizing profits for Big Pharma. Our politicians are sold-out and every dollar they take from pharma lobbyists proves the point. We the people need to make a point and make it socially unacceptable to accept a single dollar from big pharma!! Please distribute and broadcast this message to your friends and family. Do not vote for anyone accepting money from pharma!
Here are some statistics to prove my point:
A 2020 study found that NIH grants contributed over $187 billion to research associated with FDA-approved drugs from 2010 to 2019. During this period, NIH funding supported research linked to 99% of the 356 drugs approved by the FDA.
Our Message to RFK Jr.:
RFK Jr., if you don’t put a hard-stop to NIH identifying potential drug targets that are then given on a silver plate to overcharging pharmaceutical corporations, then at the very least, change the name of NIH. Name it for what it is:
New Name Suggestions for NIH:
- Federal Research Pipeline for Big Pharma (FRPBP)
- National Institute for Drug Development Subsidies (NIDDS)
- Government-Funded Pharma Accelerator (GFPA)
- National Institute for Patentable Health (NIPH)
- National Institute for Commercialized Health (NICH)
- Public Research - Private Profits Institute (PRPPI)
Which do you like best? Post in the comments below!
PS: Before you let yourself off the hook and skip voting consider this:
Grandpa and Grandma have paid on average close to $90,000 to the NIH over their life if they are over 70 years old now (based on current value of dollar). All this money goes to create new pharma billionaires and very little of it is spent on nutritional research!
I thank God for exposing all the corruption and opening people’s eyes to what is really going on, mine included. President Trump has been a blessing to our country, the evil corruption that has been going on is why they have tried to get rid of him and are still trying. Robert Kennedy is doing his best to open people up to why they are getting sick all the chemicals in the food. I love America and the ones in office now love America, and are trying to make it better than ever.healthier, smarter, military stronger, and put the people of America first. What a blessing. After that said I think they should name it evil men and their killing chemicals .
Good luck getting the new administration to actually implement something that’s gonna cost money. I’m not sure why you have any reason to believe they’re gonna do that as of right now.?!?!
