Frequently Asked Questions

Please understand we cannot answer any medical questions for many reasons: We are not doctors, FDA forbids it, liability, and more. We have tried to answer all the product questions here, but please feel free to contact us at: service@drclarkstore.com.

Three kinds of supplements are used most often for digestion and bloating. The first is digestive enzymes, which work to break down foods and relieve the pancreas. The second is probiotics, which also aid in the overall digestion of food and assimilation of nutrients, and maintain the overall integrity and health of the intestines. The third most popular supplement are herbs that promote digestion like ginger, turmeric, and green black walnut hull.

The original cleanse sequence is as follows: Digestive Aid Cleanse, Parasite Cleanse, Kidney Cleanse, Liver Cleanse. Optionally, the Candida Cleanse can be done after the Parasite Cleanse or at the same time since both cleanses help to balance microorganisms. If you choose to do the Heavy Metal Cleanse, this one is recommended last in the cleanse series.

We do not claim that all of our products are organic. Although we try to source organic or wildcrafted raw materials, if a raw material does not pass our testing procedures for potency and purity, we will not use it. Furthermore, our manufacturing facility is not registered by the US government to process certified organic foods, and therefore we cannot claim our products are organic, with the exception of those that we felt it necessary to obtain additional ogranic certification, like our Organic Turmeric.

Some of our herbal supplements are listed as a Proprietary Blend instead of indicating the milligrams of each herb. Although some manufacturers do this because they want to keep their formula a trade secret, or to prevent consumers from knowing the extact milligrams of ingredients they are taking, we use the proprietary blend label to keep prices as economical as possible, given the large overhead for producing pure supplements. If we were to state the milligrams for each herb in a single formula, we would routinely have to perform potency testing to comply with GMP regulations. We feel this test is unnecessary because we perform identity testing on every herb that arrives at our facility using HPTLC (high performance thin layer chromatography), the best method possible. Performing this extra test only adds cost. If you would like to know the ingredient proportions for any of our products, please don’t hesitate to ask us. We’re more than happy the tell you.

Dr. Clark discovered that capsules made from vegetables are typically polluted with chemicals from the extensive processing required during manufacturing. We use easy to swallow gelatin capsules made from bovine hide and are certified to be BSE free, they do not come from bones and go through extensive purity testing.

Our outer gelatin capsule shells are:

Halal certified
Kosher certified
Certified BSE-Free
100% bovine hide gelatin
Preservative-Free

Made from:
Beef Hide Gelatin…… 105.95 mg

Purified Water……… 18.72 mg

All of our herbs are non-irradiated. (Not having been exposed to radiation.)

You can do some overlapping of the different cleanses. Just remember that each cleanse requires taking several supplements every day. If you become overwhelmed by the amount of supplements or your body reacts poorly to the amount of supplements, stop and do the cleanses separately. You can do the Digestive Aid Cleanse and Parasite Cleanse together, or even the Digestive Aid Cleanse, Parasite Cleanse, and Kidney Cleanse together. If you are doing the optional Candida Cleanse, this pairs well with the Parasite Cleanse. If you are doing the Liver Cleanse, you can complete part 1 (drinking the Liver Support Tea) while doing the Digestive Aid Cleanse, Parasite Cleanse, Candida Cleanse or Kidney Cleanse. However, part 2 of the Liver Cleanse (the 2-day liver flush) should be done on its own - stop all other cleansing during the 2-day liver flush, and you can resume other cleanses after the flush is done. The Heavy Metal Cleanse should be done on its own.

No. Our zapper does not have “program keys”. Our zappers use the plate zapping method instead - the original method. In case you are interested, Dr. Clark never used zappers with “program keys”. She was strictly against those. The frequency created from “program keys” is different from “plate zapping”. She never used zappers that used program keys.

This is the best frequency. Dr. Clark stated that any current between 30 and 33 kHz was what she wanted.

The frequency devices we sell and others like it are widely used for a variety of reasons. Our customers follow many different paths that require the use of magnets and frequency devices such as the SyncroZap. Some follow the teachings of Dr. Tiller, for example. Others use the SyncroZap Frequency unit in their own unique ways. More information under question 15.

We do not provide information about the zapper relating to any diseases. Per FDA regulations we cannot make any medical claims about our zappers. Parasites can lead to a disease and that is why we cannot answer those questions. Only when selling FDA approved medical devices and drugs can one make such claims

What is the minimum and maximum amount of time I should zap? Start with a single 7 - minute session. There is no maximum usage time. It simply depends on your tolerance. If you are zapping for a long time please make sure your wristbands are wet. The SyncroZap zapper can be used on a daily basis for as long as you like.

There is no limit to how much or long you can zap for. Start with a single 7 - minute session. Four hours later or the day after zap for a longer time. Once you feel like you have zapped enough then reduce zapping to once per week as an example.

If you zap for a longer time than 20 minutes and are using the wristbands then please check if your wristbands are moist. If they are dry then you may get a red rash and start to itch.

No, and do not touch it either. Your doctor may have explained to you that having a pacemaker involves certain risks, and in order to reduce those risks you may not want to subject your body to electrical frequencies, no matter how low they are.

The zapper should never be used on people with electronic implants such as pacemakers. While the device can be used by those with non-electronic implants, do not place the electrodes so that the current flows through the implant. This is a safety precaution to avoid causing any metal ions to seep from the implant due to the current.

We have not received any complaints from people we know who have metal implants and regularly use the zapper. We have talked to people with both stainless steel and pure titanium implants and none of them reported any inconvenience. Some have experienced slight tingling at the implant site. Make sure you keep the unit at 30-33 kHz, not 1 kHz (Zappicator Continuous setting). Some people are concerned that if the implant is not titanium that it can cause ions to escape into the body. Ask your doctor if it is titanium or stainless steel. If you have any implants you will most likely have some additional metallic ions escaping into your body, so taking supplements that act as chelating agents would be helpful, regardless if you zap or not. The implant may act as a magnet to the current and take away current from other areas; therefore, choose the location of electrodes accordingly.

Here is an anecdotal testimony about this: I have a titanium implant and have had concerns about electrolysis. Zappers that generate more than one frequency will usually give me discomfort. I have several zappers bought from several sources and also several that I've made myself. What I've experienced is that you may feel buzzing and tingling sensations where you have the titanium. My implant is in my arm so I usually zap through my feet to alleviate this.

You can use the zapper just about anywhere on your body. However, we recommend against using it on your face (for cosmetic reasons and because in some rare cases it might provoke a seizure if someone is prone to seizures already).

The Parasite Cleanse is 18-days long. However, it is recommended to do the weekly Maintenance Program for at least four weeks after the initial 18-day cleanse. Consider staying on the Maintenance Program indefinitely like Dr. Clark often recommended.

Dr. Clark suggested doing the Digestive Aid Cleanse either before or at the same time as the Parasite Cleanse; however, the Digestive Aid Cleanse is not mandatory. Digestion uses up a lot of energy. Rebalancing digestive function frees up energy to be used elsewhere in the body, which is helpful when cleansing other organ systems.

Along with the regimen of herbs, Dr. Clark also recommended using a frequency generating device called a Zapper. However, using a Zapper is not mandatory. Please conduct your own research about using a Zapper. Dr. Clark’s books are a great place for such information.

No dietary changes are necessary when taking the Parasite Cleanse or the weekly Maintenance Program. However, eating a clean, whole food-based diet may be beneficial since diets high in processed foods, refined grains, and refined sugars support parasite growth. Dr. Clark also recommended reducing or quitting coffee while cleansing, but this is not required.

While it’s not mandatory to cut out alcohol consumption during the Parasite Cleanse, it may be beneficial to do so. Alcohol gets converted to sugar in the body and parasites and other microbes feed on available sugar.

Please consult with your doctor or pharmacist regarding possible drug interactions between prescriptions or over the counter drugs and the Parasite Cleanse herbs.

You can expect increased elimination from all of Dr. Clark’s cleanses. Some people have reported minor flu-like symptoms. This is part of the Herxheimer Reaction (or herx reaction). When organisms are dying faster than your body can eliminate them, this can cause mild flu or allergy type symptoms. If you experience severe discomfort while on the Parasite Cleanse, you should stop taking the supplements and contact your healthcare professional.

You may also have difficulty sleeping while on the Parasite Cleanse. Dr. Clark attributed this to increased ammonia levels from waste products as microbes die. Increased ammonia in the brain, according to Dr. Clark, can cause sleep disturbances. Taking the amino acid ornithine can help to counteract the ammonia.

While some individuals may see evidence of organisms in their stool, this is not typical. You should not expect to see interesting “things” in your toilet bowl from the Parasite Cleanse.

Everyone’s body reacts differently to supplements. While it is common to experience better digestion during the Parasite Cleanse, some individuals may also experience a change in bowel movements. If you experience severe diarrhea while on the Parasite Cleanse, we suggest that you consult with your doctor.

Dr. Clark was adamant that Black Walnut Hull and Wormwood killed the adult and larval stages and Cloves killed the eggs. She insisted on using the three herbs together to attack all stages of the lifecycle.

Optionally, the Candida Cleanse can be done after the Parasite Cleanse or at the same time since both cleanses help to balance microorganisms. If you choose to do the Heavy Metal Cleanse, this one is recommended last in the cleanse series.

You can follow the standard use instructions for a 17-day cleanse. Or you can follow the intensive use instructions for a minimum of seven days, but you will have enough product remaining to do an additional four days on the intensive schedule if you desire.

No diet changes are necessary while on the cleanse but eating as clean as possible is beneficial for digestion whether or not you are cleansing. You do want to make sure to drink plenty of water during the cleanse to help flush out toxins.

You can continue to take your normal routine of supplements while on the cleanse. Check with your doctor or a pharmacist about potential interactions between your medication and the cleanse supplements.

Although not mandatory, Dr. Clark recommended doing a daily enema for one week to maintain bowel function. Consider an enema protocol if you do not have a daily bowel movement. Enema solutions can include salt water, plain water, digestive enzymes, or probiotics. Enema solution recipes can be found online.

Only take the Cascara Sagrada as suggested if you don't have daily bowel movements. Cascara Sagrada is an herb that has laxative properties.

You may expect better elimination and improved digestive function with this cleanse. If you experience severe discomfort, you should stop the cleanse and contact a healthcare professional.

Everyone's body reacts differently to supplements. While it is common to experience better digestion on the Digestive Aid Cleanse, some individuals may also experience a change in bowel movements. With the exception of Cascara Sagrada, the products in the cleanse kit may have little to no effect on your bowels. If you do not have regular bowel movements and choose to take the Cascara Sagrada capsules as suggested, you may experience diarrhea as a result of the herb's laxative properties.

While it is advised to follow the cleanse schedule as close as possible, if you miss a day or two, simply pick up where you left off. If you stop for four days or longer, we recommend starting at the beginning.

The Digestive Aid Cleanse should be done on an as needed basis. Or consider doing the cleanse once or twice a year to reset digestive function if you feel it's needed.

There is no maintenance program for the Digestive Aid Cleanse, but you may consider continuing with the Betaine HCL capsules with each meal.

We do not recommend giving children under the age of 18 the Digestive Aid Cleanse. Always consult with a healthcare professional before giving children nutritional supplements designed for adults.

If you are pregnant, we do not recommend that you do the Digestive Aid Cleanse without speaking with your doctor first.

Because compounds found naturally in the Digestive Aid Cleanse products can get into breast milk, we do not recommend that you do the cleanse while you are breastfeeding. Please consult with your doctor before attempting to do the cleanse.

We do not recommend giving your pet the Digestive Aid Cleanse. Only Dr. Clark's Parasite Cleanse can be modified for dogs and cats. Please consult with a veterinarian before giving your pets nutritional supplements or cleansing protocols designed for humans.

The suggested use printed on each supplement label is for taking the single supplement on an as needed basis for general health purposes. The higher dosage suggestions in the Digestive Aid Cleanse directions are specifically for the cleanse protocol.

The Digestive & Constipation Aid includes the same five supplements in the Digestive Aid Cleanse plus additional products to help regulate the bowels.

The Quick Digestive Aid is a readymade blend of ingredients. It is convenient for travelling and for busy lifestyles. The Quick Digestive Aid can be used as an alternative to the standard Digestive Aid Cleanse; however, the standard cleanse is more potent and more thorough.

Detailed directions are included with purchase. You can also view the directions here.

The cleanse is 21 days long. You can continue the cleanse for longer, but you will need to purchase more of each product.

It is recommended but not mandatory. Clearing up digestive issues first frees up energy that can be dedicated to the kidneys during the cleanse.

You can do some overlapping of the different cleanses. Just remember that each cleanse requires taking several supplements every day. If you become overwhelmed by the amount of supplements or your body reacts poorly to the amount of supplements, stop and do the cleanses separately. The Heavy Metal Cleanse should be done on its own.

No dietary changes are necessary during the Kidney Cleanse. You do want to make sure to drink plenty of water during the cleanse to help flush out toxins.

You can continue to take your normal routine of supplements while on the cleanse. Check with your doctor or a pharmacist about potential interactions between your medication and the cleanse supplements.

You may experience increased urination, as some products in the cleanse have diuretic properties. If you experience severe discomfort, you should stop the cleanse and contact a healthcare professional.

While it is advised to follow the cleanse schedule as close as possible, if you miss a day or two, simply pick up where you left off. If you stop for four days or longer, we recommend starting at the beginning.

The Kidney Cleanse should be done on an as needed basis. Or consider doing the cleanse once or twice a year to reset kidney function if you feel it's needed.

If you are pregnant, we do not recommend that you do the Kidney Cleanse without speaking with your doctor first.

Because compounds found naturally in the Kidney Cleanse products can get into breast milk, we do not recommend that you do the cleanse while you are breastfeeding. Please consult with your doctor before attempting to do the cleanse.

While the Kidney Cleanse products are beneficial for your remaining kidney, we recommend that you speak with your doctor before doing the cleanse.

If you already have a form of kidney disease, we recommend that you speak with your doctor before doing the cleanse.

The suggested use printed on each supplement label is for taking the single supplement on an as needed basis for general health purposes. The higher dosage suggestions in the Kidney Cleanse directions are specifically for the cleanse protocol.

If you follow the tea preparation directions and the suggested serving size of 3/4 cup per day, the tea will last approximately 14 days. You can get double the amount of tea (28 days) if you use the herbs a second time. Simply freeze the herbs after straining the tea and use one more time.

Dark Cherry Concentrate does more than just improve the taste of the Kidney Cleanse Tea. While cherries provide a nutrient profile rich in vitamins and antioxidants that support the health of the whole body, they are also a good source of citrate, a derivative of citric acid. Citrate reduces levels of uric acid in the blood. High levels of circulating uric acid can contribute to kidney stone formation.

If you follow the cleanse directions exactly, one cleanse kit has enough product for only one person to complete the 21-day cleanse.

The Quick Kidney Cleanse is a readymade blend of ingredients. It is convenient for travelling and for busy lifestyles. The Quick Kidney Cleanse can be used as an alternative to the standard Kidney Cleanse; however, the standard cleanse is more potent and more thorough.

According to traditional medicine views, the ingredients in the Kidney Cleanse have properties that may help to dissolve and prevent the formation of kidney stones. But we cannot guarantee that the Kidney Cleanse will dissolve kidney stones.

Some of the naturally occurring compounds in the Kidney Cleanse may help to reduce the size of kidney stones, making them easier to pass; however, we cannot guarantee this outcome in all cases. If you have a kidney stone diagnosis, we recommend that you talk to your doctor about the best course of action for your situation.

Detailed directions are included with purchase. You can also view the directions here.

Optionally, the Candida Cleanse can be done after the Parasite Cleanse or at the same time since both cleanses help to balance microorganisms. If you choose to do the Heavy Metal Cleanse, this one is recommended last in the cleanse series.

The cleanse is up to 16 days long. Part 1 of the cleanse consists of drinking the Liver Support Tea for up to two weeks. Then follow up with part 2 of the cleanse, which is the 2-day liver flush.

It is not recommended that you do the Liver Cleanse without completing the other cleanses first. If you were to purge the toxins from your liver without having clear channels of elimination, you run the risk recirculating the toxins, which can make you ill. Completing the digestive, parasite, and kidney cleanses first helps to clear the elimination channels.

During part 1 of the Liver Cleanse (drinking the Liver Support Tea), no dietary changes are necessary. During part 2 of the cleanse (the liver flush), you will be instructed to eat a limited diet for two days. Dietary restrictions include all fats, artificial sweeteners, and processed sweets. Dietary restrictions and allowed food suggestions are included in the Liver Cleanse directions.

When you eat dietary fats, your gallbladder releases bile to help with fat digestion. A non-fat diet during the liver flush allows bile to accumulate and causes pressure to build in the liver. The pressure helps to strengthen the elimination process and encourages a more thorough removal of wastes.

Drink enough water to stay hydrated during the liver flush. If you require more water than the recommended 3/4 cup when taking each dose of 15 magnesium sulfate capsules, that's OK. Limiting your intake of fluids during the liver flush helps to build pressure in the liver, which will aid the elimination of toxins and hardened deposits. But of course, listen to your body and judge if you need more water to stay hydrated. After the flush is over you can resume your regular consumption of fluids, the majority of which should be water for general health purposes.

In general, you should check with your doctor or a pharmacist about potential interactions between your medication and the cleanse supplements. During part 1 of the Liver Cleanse (drinking the Liver Support Tea), you can continue to take other supplements and medications. During part 2 of the cleanse (the liver flush), you are instructed to stop all dietary supplements and medications that you can do without (make sure to confirm this with your doctor first) for the 2-day flush process. After the liver flush is complete, you can start taking your supplements and medications again.

You can expect to have diarrhea the morning of day two of the liver flush. This is a normal reaction caused by the olive oil drink consumed the night before. For this reason, it is best to schedule the liver flush when you have close access to a bathroom. You may have more frequent bowel movements in general during the liver flush due to the magnesium sulfate (Epsom salt), which has a laxative effect.

Eliminating gallstones is not a guaranteed outcome of the Liver Cleanse. What is eliminated can vary from person to person. If you do eliminate gallstones, it will occur during the liver flush. It is not uncommon to see few stones or none at all after only one liver flush. The first few flushes may only push the gallstones toward the opening of the bile duct, in which case additional liver flushes may be required to fully eliminate the gallstones. The number of liver flushes needed to remove toxins and hardened deposits can vary from person to person.

If you miss a day or two while drinking the Liver Support Tea, you can simply pick up where you left off. It's recommended that you follow the 2-day liver flush schedule as close as possible. Altering the timing of the liver flush schedule may limit its effectiveness.

The liver flush is an integral part of the overall Liver Cleanse. Doing the liver flush may dislodge liver and gallbladder deposits that can interfere with regular function of these organs. If you do not complete the liver flush, you should not expect the same thoroughness compared to doing the complete Liver Cleanse with the liver flush.

The liver flush opens the bile duct and encourages the elimination of hardened deposits from the liver and gallbladder. These deposits can interfere with normal liver and gallbladder function.

If you can't complete the steps at the exact times as stated in the directions, adjust your schedule accordingly but try to keep the same time gap between each step. For instance, if the directions say to start your first step at 8 AM but you want to start at 7 AM, adjust the rest of your steps by one hour earlier. If you are an early riser, a night owl or you have a reverse sleep schedule, you can adjust the timing of the steps to suite your schedule.

The number of liver flushes will depend on your toxin load and how thoroughly the toxins are eliminated. Consider repeating the liver flush every two weeks. This allows your organs to rest between each flush. For first timers, a series of five flushes is recommended, but you may need to do more if your toxin load is more severe. Consider that your liver becomes congested over time, not after one poor lifestyle decision. So, you should not expect to relieve the congestion after only one liver flush.

No. Drinking the Liver Support Tea between each liver flush is optional.

Yes, you can use ozonated olive oil. According to Dr. Clark, gallstones are porous and can pick up bacteria, cysts, viruses, and parasites passing through the liver. Using ozonated olive oil helps to kill the parasitic stages that are released during the liver cleanse. Note that not all pre-made ozonated olive oil is equal in quality. You can also make your own ozonated olive oil if you have an ozonator and a separate aerator stone specifically used for olive oil.

To make the grapefruit and olive oil drink for the 2-day liver flush, you want the solution to be watery. According to Dr. Clark, only fresh pink grapefruit will accomplish this. Store bought pink grapefruit juice with any additives is not recommended either.

You can substitute lemon juice for grapefruit juice. Squeeze one lemon and add enough water to the juice to make ½ cup of liquid. Adding natural sweetener is optional. Some other liver cleansing protocols may call for apple juice or vegetable juice used in a different manner. Dr. Clark's protocol uses either pink grapefruit or lemon juice. Substituting any other juice may alter the effectiveness of Dr. Clark's cleansing protocol.

Consider doing the Liver Cleanse once or twice a year to reset liver function. However, you can do the cleanse more frequently if needed.

There is no maintenance program for the Liver Cleanse, but you can keep drinking the Liver Support Tea as needed.

We do not recommend giving children under the age of 18 the Liver Cleanse. Always consult with a healthcare professional before giving children nutritional supplements designed for adults.

If you are pregnant, we do not recommend that you do the Liver Cleanse without speaking with your doctor first.

Because compounds found naturally in the Liver Cleanse products can get into breast milk, we do not recommend that you do the cleanse while you are breastfeeding. Please consult with your doctor before attempting to do the cleanse.

Yes, you can still do the Liver Cleanse if your gallbladder has been removed. There should not be any issues drinking the Liver Support Tea (part 1 of the cleanse). Without a gallbladder, bile produced in your liver to aid fat digestion goes straight to your small intestine. Consuming the olive oil drink during the liver flush (part 2 of the cleanse) may result in looser stools accompanied by gas and bloating. Without a gallbladder you won't have any gallstones to remove, but you can still encourage the removal of toxins that have built up in the liver.

We do not recommend giving your pet the Liver Cleanse. Only Dr. Clark's Parasite Cleanse can be modified for dogs and cats. Please consult a veterinarian before giving your pets nutritional supplements or cleansing protocols designed for humans.

The Quick Liver Cleanse is a readymade blend of ingredients. It is convenient for travelling and for busy lifestyles. The Quick Liver Cleanse can be used as an alternative to part 1 of the standard Liver Cleanse, when you drink the Liver Support Tea for one to two weeks. However, the Quick Liver Cleanse capsules do not take the place of the 2-day liver flush (part 2 of the standard Liver Cleanse). For a thorough cleansing experience, perform the liver flush protocol after you have completed the 13-day Quick Liver Cleanse.
