This updated formula features monolaurin in place of calcium undecylenate, which we have not been able to reliably source. Monolaurin is a natural compound with broad antimicrobial properties, including antifungal activity. Monolaurin binds to and disintegrates the protective membrane of pathogens. This act prevents the pathogen from entering healthy body cells and makes pathogenic cells more vulnerable to the body’s disease-fighting immunity scavengers.*

Berberine is an alkaloid with antimicrobial, antifungal and immune-boosting characteristics. It helps to maintain a healthy Candida balance by interfering with the ability of fungi to penetrate and adhere to healthy host cells.*

Q: What type of capsule does this product come in?
A: This comes in a gelatin capsule. The gelatin is derived from bovine hide (beef skin).

Q: Why does this product contain rice flour?
A: We use rice flour as a filling agent for some products whose active ingredients do not fill the entire capsule. Leaving the capsule unfilled is not aesthetically pleasing and would cause many complaints.

Q: This product has a pungent chemical smell. Is that normal?
A: Yes. Sometimes we use ingredients that smell unpleasant, such as betaine. To keep our products as pure as possible, we don't add any manufacturing agents to mask the smell.

Q: Why did you change the ingredients of the original Fungal Fighter?
A: Due to supply chain issues, we have not been able to source calcium undecylenate. In order to get the product into production quicker, we decided to use monolaurin as a substitute for calcium undecylenate. Monolaurin has similar antifungal properties to calcium undecylenate. The change in the formula does not affect the Candida Cleanse instructions.
