Highlights from the Beljanski Integrative Cancer Conference in San Diego, CA

Last weekend I was honored to attend the Beljanski Integrative Cancer Conference, where some of the leading integrative medical professionals, physicians, and healers in the country gathered to present their research and methods. The event was one of the most positive and inspiring I have attended, especially considering the topic. Attendees included naturopaths, researchers, advocates, and many dealing with a cancer diagnosis, sharing their experiences, knowledge, wisdom in a very warm and inviting venue.ย

Who was Mirko Beljanski?

Like Dr. Clark, Mirko Beljanski had a prestigiousย  career in biology, studying at the Sorbonne for his Ph.D,ย  and later working for the Pasteur Institute, where he contributed to important discoveries, such as the existence of reverse transcriptase in bacteria and the invention of a biochemical test to assess the impact of environmental molecules on the functioning of genes that he called the oncotest. His research on microorganisms led him to research the efficacy of plant compounds in treating cancer. His research indicated that two key herbs were especially effective, the Pao pereira, and Rauvolfia vomitoria.

When he retired, he opened a wellness institute in France to ensure his discoveries would be put into practice. And also like Hulda Clark, he faced persecutions by the French government, charging him for illegally practicing medicine, and pharmacy, and even raiding his home and destroying his laboratory. Sound familiar? (think Dr. Gerson, Royal Raymond Rife, and others). The French military police raided the homes of many of Mirko Beljanski's collegues, sparking protests showing their support for the right of patients to these plant extracts.ย

Thankfully, Beljanski was exonerated of all charges later, and even recognized an having been excessively targeted by the govt, according to the European Court of Human Rights. However, like Dr. Clark as well, when he needed his own products, they were seized, and the authorities can now claim he died of cancer despite refusing access to his own treatments. At least the European Court of Human Rights condemned France for its treatment of Beljanski, given the importance of his research, confirming corruption at the highest levels of the country. To this day, many mainstream websites like Wikipedia mischaracterize the story of Beljanski, and exclude important information detailing his false persecution and the resulting vindication.ย ย

The Beljanski Foundation

Continuing the legacy, Silvia Beljanski, Mirko's daughter, started a foundation to ensure her father's discoveries were preserved and available for those that needed them, and that his line of research continued. She has dedicated her life to spreading the message and gives presentations around the world.ย

In her book,ย Winning the War on Cancer: The Epic Journey Towards a Natural Cure, she explains their integrative approach to cancer, based on a recognition of the role of cancer stem cells. She writes, "According to the research, cancer cells are not all created equal. A malignant tumor, or the circulating cancerous cells of leukemia, for instance, can harbor many different cell types. The stem cell theory of cancer proposes that among all cancerous cells, only a few act as stem cells." (p8).ย

What her father discovered, was that yes, DNA damage was the source of cancer, but that certain plant extracts could prevent and repair this damage, and specifically target the cancer stem cells responsible for causing cancer that the body could not eradicate by itself. Just like Dr. Clark found, the body was accumulating more toxins than it could handle, and more resulting DNA damage than it could repair.ย

Summary ofย Mirko Beljankski's Anti-Cancer Protocolย

Beljanski's proposed anti-cancer approach combined lifestyle and metabolic interventions alongside his experimental therapies. It emphasized an anti-inflammatory, low-glycation diet rich in antioxidants, polyphenols, and omega-3 fatty acids; reducing exposure to environmental toxins and supporting detoxification; in some cases, following a metabolic treatment involving a modified ketogenic diet with supplements such as R-lipoic acid and alpha-hydroxy acids; maintaining regular, vigorous physical activity; and managing stress through practices such as meditation and cardiac coherence (a controlled breathing technique).

Other Exhibitors and Practitioners

One of the more interesting exhibitors at the conference was the Photodynamic therapy (PDT) practitioners, which is a minimally invasive cancer treatment that combines three components:

  1. A photosensitizing drug that selectively accumulates in cancer or abnormal cells.
  2. A specific wavelength of light (usually red, blue, or laser light) directed at the tumor.
  3. Oxygen present in the tissue.

When the photosensitizer is activated by light, it produces reactive oxygen species (ROS) (especially singlet oxygen) that damage cancer cells, tumor blood vessels, and sometimes stimulate an immune response against the tumor.ย Unlike chemotherapy, PDT acts only where both the photosensitizer and light are present, making it highly localized.

Here's me getting a free treatment from Dr. Saucedo out of La Jolla, where I received red light and blue light intravenously.ย

PDT is currently used primarily for selected cancers and precancerous conditions, including:

  • Early-stage esophageal cancer
  • Endobronchial (lung airway) cancers
  • Barrett's esophagus with high-grade dysplasia
  • Actinic keratoses (precancerous skin lesions)
  • Some superficial basal cell carcinomas (outside the U.S. in certain settings)

Research is also ongoing for brain, pancreatic, prostate, head and neck, bladder, cervical, and ovarian cancers.ย

Final Thoughts

The conference was unique and offered some of the most advanced methods in combining natural healing methods with conventional medicine, demonstrating how both can work together.ย

While I was unfamiliar with Beljanski's work, the conference was a beautiful expression of love and hope by a growing natural wellness community trying to help with one of the most misunderstood and alarming illnesses. From photodynamic therapies, to just about every other kind of anti-cancer protocol, the conference featured practitioners and brands base don science, and aimed toward integration with all the best of modern medicine, instead of only focusing on those treatments that have been favored only for profit.ย  The final part of the conference was sold out, which was a tour of the several internationally recognized cancer clinics in Mexico:

โ€ข Hope4Cancer Treatment Centersย

โ€ข Oasis of Hope Hospital

โ€ข Immunity Therapy Center

โ€ข Health Institute de Tijuanaย

I encourage anyone reading this who is interested in the latest unbiased research and treatments in cancer, to checkout these organizations, and to consider learning more about the Beljanski Foundation and its ongoing line of conferences and associated practitioners.ย
